Coca-Cola has always been on the forefront of the popular culture movement whether it is with movies, music or sports. In 1952 the soft drink company released a set of ten playing tip cards with big league players on the front. The odd shaped cards had game schedules and playing tips on the reverse for the novice ballplayer. Offered is a near set (7/10) of the scarce 1952 Coke Tips Die-Cut cards. The cards are in mid-grade condition with mild creasing on a few and some slight rounding of the corners, but the overall eye appeal is spectacular with vivid color and no major paper loss or surface damage. Included are #1 Hank Bauer, #3 Gil Hodges, #4 Ed Lopat, #5 Gil McDougald, #6 Don Mueller, #8 Bobby Thompson (fielding) and #10 Wes Westrum. This is a great find for the rare vintage card collector.
